The little fourth dimension information technology worked for me was absolutely stunning. I'll revisit when I have a hexacore ryzen/intel in the future. It was likewise much fun for me to just run effectually in the snow and watch it crumble. Absolute achievement in technology.

Simply finished watching it. Fantastic video. Great work Dictator

This paints one hell of a portrait for this port.

Short question: is the port good or not?

No.

But the video has nothing to practice with that.

Guess I'thou going to have to bump lighting to from High to Ultra. It being the only setting that adds global calorie-free outdoors is a big deal for me.

  • #eleven
No.

Merely the video has zilch to do with that.

Because of a few (all exist it some of them rather major) bugs that will likely exist ironed out in a week or 2?

Performance wise information technology seems similar most what your wait. Many of the ultra settings going mode beyond what he XBOX one X was doing.

Tehnical problems aren't bugs.

I'm not even gonna bother to list what'south incorrect with the game since everyone can know where to wait.

It's absoltuley disgusts me that people really take to defend this in some fashion.

Short question: is the port practiced or non?
Performance-wise, yes. They should have communicated what each setting does ameliorate though.
Also, in that location are bugs (similar the game non even launching for some people) that demand to be stock-still.
If they add more explanations to the settings card and gear up the bugs, this will be a "good port." Nothing a couple of patches tin't accost. Basically, wait for the Steam version.

Really useful to have a chart like this.

Someone did their fucking homework.

Just awestruck at the arroyo and documentation to proving your points. Hopefully one thread on RDR2 gets checked every fourth dimension dumb opinions come up with this video being existence a good debunker of crap opinions.

Stuff similar this should be provided by developers and be in game by default nether information technology'southward own preset( drop the console names to not offend MS and Sony or whatever )

This is pretty much what hundreds of artists and graphics guys though would exist the best compromise between their squad overall vision and hardware requirements. No reason not to have this equally a baseline in PC ports of multiplatform games.

Nice work, Dictator!

The major issues that RDR 2 has like crashing, stuttering, lock ups aren't bugs.

Waking upwardly to your map existence half undiscovered despite you lot pretty much playing for twenty hours is a bug.

The game does actually have quite some bugs from last yr that didn't even bother to fix but they have nothing to do with the real tehnical problems that the game suffers from.

Great video. The half hour flew by in an instance.

Some of those options actually improve the look a lot. More than the usual increase in upshot resolution or whatever variables could exist tweaked. Like the lighting setting adding moonlight or the additional light bounces and the water physics. I think Rockstar fabricated sure to reimplement some stuff that they had to cutting for performance reasons on console. Makes me want to wait for GPUs that can handle it all at 4k 60.

Would be interesting to take a follow upward video explaining what gpu/cpu combo yous would demand to replicate xbox i settings and performance. The price to performance ratio would exist interesting to run into.

Im going to try out the 1x settings to see what i get in 4k with a 2080. its not the ti version, so i wonder if i will become 60fps.

My feel is the opposite, most settings do surprisingly little to improve the graphics over consoles plus the texture quality setting seems merely cleaved. I'm non ownership the "upgraded for PC" spiel considering how broken the game is in general with crashes, mission bugs, bad keyboard controls and menus. At this point I'm going to leave the game for a while and play Expiry Stranding and when I'm done RDR2 volition hopefully be fixed.

Dainty! Then as already expected, lots of flexibility and scalability in the PC version, and if you admittedly demand to friction match panel experience, it's definitely non in the all ultra / high settings- an assumption that shouldn't exist made in the offset place, when these terms have no stock-still definition and vary per game wildly

Disappointing that textures are not as scalable, but all the enhanced IQ possibilities are excellent and brand a very clear difference

So far a number of issues from launch are cleared up, and then I'm expecting to dive in at Steam release without problems.

Wow, what a spectacular video. Well washed guys...

I'm not buying the "upgraded for PC" spiel considering how broken the game is in full general with crashes, mission bugs, bad keyboard controls and menus.

how are the keyboard controls broken ?

Stuff like this should be provided by developers and exist in game by default under information technology'due south own preset( drib the panel names to not offend MS and Sony or whatever )

This is pretty much what hundreds of artists and graphics guys though would exist the all-time compromise between their team overall vision and hardware requirements. No reason non to have this every bit a baseline in PC ports of multiplatform games.

I even made a thread about it!

And got shit ton of dumb unnecessary resistance to it.

Anyway, Xbone X has 6TFLOPS and runs 30fps with drops. 2080Ti has 13TFLOPS and runs 60fps with reserve for actress settings at the same item. Therefore the PC version is optimized perfectly fine - pretty much identically equally Xbone X version. This game will scale far into the time to come.

This game will calibration far into the future.
And that's even earlier modders add their own crazy stuff. This could be the new Skyrim if proper modding tools are provided past R*.

I'll try this out then increase certain settings to go the best possible quality at [email protected] on a GTX980ti.
My current settings have a locked 60fps in the wild but every time I ride into any civilized surface area the frames merely tank and slowly recover over a few seconds (to 30fps roughly).

Unfortunately that will never happen. Rockstar is not Bethesda or Warhorse.

Wait, Dictator video?

I really loved the video though! Between this and the Star Citizen video, Alex is bringing some amazing quality to an already amazing channel.

I finished the game on PS4Pro terminal yr, but watching this makes me wanna give it another go...

The major problems that RDR 2 has like crashing, stuttering, lock ups aren't bugs.

Those are absolutely bugs. They're the very definition of software bugs.

I'thousand non certain where this arbitrary line has come from as to what is and isn't a issues.. it'south quite disruptive.

Lol 30minutes PC performance video. Will spotter after today it tomorrow.

Wont buy the game until I build my new PC (prob 2020/2021) to play this in 4k/lx.

Nonetheless rocking a GTX970. Played the game on the Pro and am kinda missing it (sold it already).

Detail
  • #47
This sort of detail should be included within the games options imo.

Dictator absolutley fantastic work and I really appreciate the fourth dimension and attempt that went into this, I know for an accented fact you must accept been pulling your pilus out.

I have a locked 60fps on my 1080ti cheers to you at but below native 4k with no noticeable prototype quality loss, so thank you.

And got shit ton of dumb unnecessary resistance to it.

Anyway, Xbone X has 6TFLOPS and runs 30fps with drops. 2080Ti has 13TFLOPS and runs 60fps with reserve for extra settings at the aforementioned detail. Therefore the PC version is optimized perfectly fine - pretty much identically every bit Xbone X version. This game will scale far into the future.

I wouldn't call rare dips below 30 fps a definition of a game at thirty fps with drops. It drops very occasionally and it's one of the almost 'locked' xxx fps experience I played on the X. Just surely lighting is very depression buffer compared to the pc setting if we desire to point out to one of the worst aspect of the graphic setting.

practise you accept a single threaded cpu? cause this game does non like unmarried threads
